Sports Weekend

The weekend that had just passed left a small impression on me that i thought would never happen. On Sunday morning, i actually enjoyed watching golf! I honestly never thought i would acquire a taste for watching a game that i believed to be too repetitive with no action. My criticism of golf can probably be placed onto baseball but i've liked baseball for my entire life =D. I enjoyed watching Wie, Sorenstam, and Park among other professional golfers duke it out in a game of patience and pure skill. The game of golf is a sport where one missed shot can mean the championship. Each additional stroke is crucial to the scoreboard. I have only recently acquired an appreciation for watching the sport. Furthermore, i might actualyl watch more of it! =D. Other than that it was a typical weekend of WoW, studying, and getting my weekly headaches on Sunday...weird. I know i haven't posted many pictures, but i just opened my new memory card reader yesterday and hopefully i will have the time to upload my pictures. It'll be comign soon peoples =D.

Only a better note, here's some news that i found notable from the weekend.

I cheered for Wie's breakthrough into the realm of professional golf. I watched her performance saturday with anticipation and awe at the skill this 16 year old has. I think it's amazing and she will be a huge celebrity probably for my entire life. Guys will oogle her and girls will aspire to be her. I was shocked a little to see that Wie was actually DISQUALIFIED from her professional debut because of a minor technicality. She hit a ball into a bush and dropped the ball a few inches to get a clear shot and apparently it wasn't too far. A reporter alerted the officials a day later (suspicious) and the officials inquiried into it and eventually disqualified Wie because her tee placement could have increased her stroke count by one or two. Let me know Chang if i got any of this wrong =D. It sounds like a minor technicality and i think some ppl are pretty pissed but the rules are rules =/ sorry Wie! (the caddy i think was ultra pissed at the reporter that "snitched")

Fantasy Football
Okay, let's establish the facts before i get into this. This is my first year playing fantasy football and i suck loads. I invested my second pick to Daunte Culpepper because all the analysts were hailing his name like he was the messiah. Sadly, Culpepper and the Vikings have been STRUGGLING at best this year. My team has been absoloutely been dominated. Culpepper had an ok outing last week so i figured he would only get better. Sadly, that is not what happened. I played Culpepper but I SHOULD HAVE played this man:

Jake Plummer will be my savior. This guy has been playing extremely well against all kinds of adversaries. The Broncos have defeated two teams, the Chiefs and the Patrions, that i thought they had no chance to win against. The Broncos are very strong this year and i believe they can go very far assuming everyone stays healthy. Staying healthy 100% healthy is impossible for any team since there will always be injuries. Hard impacts and lots of muscles waiting to slip off the bones will always result in injury. I will now be playing Jake Plummer as my primary QB and hoping that i will be victorious in one game this season! Can I play Gina? We're both L5!

CNN Comments

Headline: CraZy Woman gives birth to 16th Child.

Seriously...16 children and counting? are you crazy woman!? Would it be out of line if i called the married couple nymphomaniacs? It's obvious that this couple has been pretty busy. Think of the college tuition...the pain of raising children...these people are cRaZier than Crazy Straws! I'm boggled right now...and bored =D maybe i'll just go home =P

Princeton group promotes chastity

"When you do have sex, you form a bond," said Caroline Chopko, 20, a junior from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

"I remember sitting there and feeling really uncomfortable because every single character had either engaged in premarital sex or was talking about having engaged in premarital sex," said Christian Sahner,

"It's not like we don't dance or have fun," she said.

I think some people think about the ramifications of sex a little too much. Sex is sex and i think some people blow the concept out of proportion by making it this huge deal. My first reaction to the last quote was that of irony. It's not ok to have sex but it's ok to imitate sex to the point of dry humping? But i guess it is ok? I believe sex is not a big deal and i know it's their choice, but i'm just fed up with all this hype about sex ( i know it's ironic that i'm putting more fuel to the fire).

On a brighter note:
Apple unveils video iPod
WooHOoo! Wow i think the video IPOD is gonna be awesome. If i didn't already have one i think i'd buy it. I'm excited to see what else Apple has in their endless sleeve of Aces.

I Left My Heart in Palo Alto

Hey all! I haven't updated in a while because i've been kind of busy and a little lazy all at the same time =D. Basically i've moved back to Seattle for some more schooling at the UW for my undergrad studies =D...my new room is SO much better than my last one in the dorms. It's pretty ridiculous how the two contrast to each other. My last year room was a small ass hexagon shaped room with a roommate and no carpet. Now I have a kitchen, two chairs, a shower i don't need flip flops for and MY OWN ROOM! My room is so much spacier than last year's room it really isn't funny =/. it's a basic looking college room but i haven't been IN a normal college room for so long.
My dad and i drove teh car up from Palo Alto to Seattle in a day too! I have Nicole's old car *the 93 Honda* to carry my butt around the city and campus. It was a cool ride despite being so long. I really didn't have a problem just taking naps and looking at the beautiful scenery. Northern California wasn't too exciting and it didn't look very pretty. Oregon on the otherhand is a BEAUTIFUl state. The trees and the scenery, even from the highway, is very pretty. My dad and i even dropped by his old school, University of Oregon =D. I checked out the campus and it looks like Stanford a little bit *prolly because of the trees*. It looked nice but the surroundings of UoO *University of Oregon* look like crap. Before passing UoO my dad and i drove by Eugene, Oregon *the birthplace NICOLE CHEN. Nicole is the middle child of the soon to be Chen Dynasty of the wealthy. It was funny to drive by a small city where i know my family resided in. My family actually lived in Eugene, Oregon around 5-6 years before i was born =D *simplier times*. The entire trip took 14 hours and 870 miles of driving =D.
I'm having a lot more fun at the UW and less stressed out than last year. I've been keeping up with my studies a lot better than last year. I've simply been working harder and longer with a great attention span which dwarfs last year's mentality. I contribute my boost in determination to Lisa because i see her working so hard all the time i figured i should too! I'm totally serious too Lis and your name came up in one of my chinese textbooks! I've gone to a few parties too on the weekends which helps me loosen up a little. I usually drive to these events since my apartment is pretty far away from the event locations so i never drink duhh. It's worth a Class C Felony *i think* on my record and increased insurance rates just to have a swig of barf tasting water.
I'll hopefully get some pictures online later but i need to go buy a new connector because i believe i left mine at home. I left a few wires at home and it's really bothering me...maybe i'll ask my dad if he has seen them around...take it easy all!
