Snowboarding in November

Well this winter has been kind of crazy. On Nov. 11 and even before that, snow resorts have opened up their slopes for the season! I was invited to go snowboarding and how can you ever turn down such a great offer eh? Terry and Alice from Tzu Chi were kind enough to invite me to go to Steven's Pass~! It was snowing the entire day but not too hard. I was insulated with 4 or 5 layers of clothing so the cold didn't affect me that much =D. At the end of the day, a little past 3, it was snowing pretty hard so many of the skiiers and snowboarders were pretty discouraged so they left. Terry and I didn't really care so we went up twice in a near blizzard! Okay i might be exagerating but it was impossible to see where the snow ended and the sky began. mY entire vision was all white! it was really hard to see obstacles in my path and changes in elevation because everything blended so well together. It was awesome because i felt some fresh snow with nobody around to bother me! Plus my IPOD was running with some sweet songs so it was a very enjoyable time indeed! Thanks guys! Here's some pics but my camera ran out of batteries...bastard

Songs and Obessions

What's up all. I'm making some of my own time right now since i've been studying all day. If you got some time, cash, or DC++ and u haven't already done this...you should check out these bands. I've put in a summary of what i think of each band.

Mae:
This is my favorite band at the moment. I'm 100% not into the heavy metal and hardcore rock bands because i think they're too violent and loud. I can't make out what the singers are trying to say for heavy metal. Mae is really mellow music and has great lyrics if you're the kind of guy or girl who is into songs about love, being alone, or having broken up or hooked up with a significant other. Some testosterone full guys would call me a pussy but sensitivity goes longer than being insensitive and masculine.

Albums:
Destination Beautiful (the great cd, but not better than the Everglow)
*note* Hien, you're wrong...The Everglow is the better CD
The Everglow (the better cd)

Songs to Mention:
The Everglow (MUST GET)
The Sun (The theme song for Destination Beautiful)
Summertime
Suspension

Anberlin:
This is a little bit more intense but still mellow nonetheless. Songs like "Never Take Friendship Personal" are upbeat songs but they don't scream at all and the lyrics are kinda catchy. It's a good mix of songs that range from "fast paced singing in the car" to "feel good in your room with the lights off relaxing." This is probably my second favorite band at the moment.

Albums:
Plans for the Black Market (i think)
Never Take Friendship Personal (i like this album better than the first)

Songs to Point Out:
Never Take Friendship Personal
Amsterdam
Day Late Friend

Those are my favorite songs, pass judgement or recomment some of your own =D. I hate screamo, it sux ok Brian? you too Alex if you're reading

I'm bored...playing with the love calculator

Jeffrey Chen Your Mom

12 % Dr. Love thinks a relationship might work out between Jeffrey Chen and Your Mom, but the chance is very small.

Jeffrey Chen Your Wife

84 % Dr. Love thinks that a relationship between Jeffrey Chen and Your Wife has a very good chance of being successful

Jeffrey Chen Your Son

13 % Dr. Love thinks a relationship might work out between Jeffrey Chen and Your Son, but the chance is very small.

Don't say doing your wife, don't say doing your wife..."doing your...son..." -Peter Griffin

Jeffrey Chen Your Cousin

13 % Dr. Love thinks a relationship might work out between Jeffrey Chen and Your Cousin, but the chance is very small

An Update!

What's up all, it has been a while since my last update. However, i have finally gotten the time to give you all a small summary of the last 1-2 months =D. First, well obviously i'm at Washington, but the new thing is that i have a car! Nicole's 93 Honda is now in my name and therefore MINE MWUAHAHHAHAHAH. My Dad and I drove the Honda from Palo Alto to Seattle in one day. On our way to Seattle, we passed by a particular hospital that Nicole should be familiar with:

This is the hospital in Eugene, Oregon where Nicole Chen was born! We took some time out of our busy schedule to also visit my dad's old graduate college, the University of Oregon. The campus reminds me a little of Stanford...probably because of all the trees. there's also a lot of hospitals called Sacred Heart...

Now that i'm on my own...i need to cook my own meals. That has been a pretty hard task since i'm not always free to invest 1-2 hours to cook and eat. But within the first week i finally made my first dish...Fried Rice with some orange soda on the side! It was pretty good...reminded me of home =D

yummmm

Somethings about cooking aren't really related to the damn process but need maintaining anyway! Like my knife! I found it kind of rusted one day so i panicked and tried rubbing it off with some salt and olive oil (brought to you by internet searches). As i was vigorously rubbing the knife i uhh...accidently sliced by finger pretty badly. Here's the result of my biggest apartment mistake to date!

My finger still has a scar from when that happened. Note to self...when rubbing the knife...make sure the sharp side is NOT FACING YOU...doh....

I have some business news too! My shares of google, which i bought at 345 (at the slight disgust of some family members) has risen to 377! I've only ahdd this stock for about a week and i'm already gaining an 8% profit! Work harder Chang, i'm counting on you!

On the etc side...well i'm procrastinating but i'm also working hard as hell...a little too hard for midterms and assignments. I'm really tired and i could use a vacation. It's going to be raining for the rest of the week here in seattle so it isn't going to lighten up. I've been fooling around facebook too...looking up some acquitances lately and leaving some wall posts =D. Take it easy yall!
