Having Fun at Marine World

Thursday was a pretty exciting day because 5 five friends and I ventured into Vallejo for some fun at Six Flags Marine World. The Crew: David Stringer, Sandy Williams, Nick Price, Alex Yeh, Brian Yeh, Michael Gray, and I spent the entire day watching the wild animals and screaming down rollercoasters. Pictures always tell the story better than just words so have fun!

Here are some penguins just chilling out in the shade.

Here are two dolphina up close and personal!

Me ready to eat some feed for the dolphin =D

Me feeding the dolphin with some small fish!

The crew getting ready for some action on the Medusa rollercoaster!

Part of the crew riding on the Medusa! Some rollercoasters actually have a camera that takes shots of everyone on the ride. All of us on the ride coordinated a peace sign pose for the camera! This is not a fake image of the four of us on some background! This is all four us going 65 mph down a metallic track!

This is the new killer whale at Marine World called Shouka. She's only in her teens but she weighs more than a dozen tons!

Raging Waters

Wello. (Short for "well, hello).
Yesterday was a blast (fragment sentence i know). Brian, Alex, and I went to Raging Waters yesterday to enjoy some sun and watery slopes! The day was very sunny and decently hot and all of us wore sunscreen although none of covered the entire body =/. All three of us got sunburn i think alex and i a little bit but brian comes out of the day as the most sunburn. THe last i saw his entire back was red so that's not really a good sign; however, all three of us dispensed of our farmers tan! At Raging Waters the total ride count is followed:

Serpentine: 4
Dragon Den: 1
Wave Pool: 1
Endless River: 1
Shotgun: 4
Mini Slides: 6
Great White Shark: 1
Barracuda Blaster: 1
White Lightning and Blue Thunder: 11

Yes we did ride White Lightning and Blue Thunder a total of 11 times. Blue Thunder is the better one but i'm gonna go on white lightning =D *inside joke*. White Lightning is the better of the two slides because you can gain air on white lightning and blue thunder you just go faster.
Tragically, I got into an accident at Raging Waters. No not a car accident but a little intertube accident. The Dragons Den attraction features a huge bowl that riders go around several times before going into a hole at the bottom to conclude the ride. Alex and I were almost into the concluding hole but then i wanted to try for another pass but Alex disagreed. The result was that Alex's half of the two-man intertube went in and mine did not. The intertube flipped and i landed on Alex and we came out of the slide all disoriented and upside down =D. THe pain wasn't that bad for me and it was well worth the short lived aches and sores =D. All in all the Raging Waters trip was very enjoyable but i'm looking forward to some Warcrafting now =D

Search for Knowledge

For the past few days, I have been trying to acquire more knowledge about the happenings of the world. I've been reading ESPN, CNN, and CNN Business for the past few days along with Harry Potter for relaxation. All this unusual amount of reading is for the sake of being able to share my opinion in more sophisticated conversations with evidence to support my stance.
From ESPN:
I hate Terrell Owens because he is an asshole; however, after reading ESPN, i can say that i hate TO because he doesn't attend practice, talk with coaches, or make any attempt to compromise. I'm not actually sure why he is so upset but i believe TO wants to be traded since he and McNabb had a fight at the Superbowl. Kenny Rogers of the Texas Rangers is back playing baseball without any repercussions from the league for shoving two must've been snobby camera people. I think the media is getting a little too nosy but it just might be their job. A's are sadly getting slaughtered by the Angels, but i think the A's will make it to the playoffs with their great roster. Even if the A's don't win the coveted World Series, the next years should be great when the younger players start to mature.
From CNN:
I was happy to read that the shuttle Discovery made it back to Edwards Air Force Base safely despite the little piece of foam that hit the shuttle during the launch. The function of the foam on space shuttles is to prevent ice from forming on the external fuel tanks; however, what happened during the Columbia tragedy? A 1.2 IB hunk of foam from the Columbia was missing and the absence of that foam caused the explosion; however, what happened in the external fuel tank happened? Did the fuel in the tanks freeze and then combust causing an explosion?
On a sadder note, Dana Reeves, widow of Christopher Reeves, has lung cancer. It's weird that Dana Reeves has lung cancer because she reports she never smoked but maybe more light will be shed on this later.
On the business side, the Feds increased interest rates to 3.5%. I'm not sure what this means other than mortgage rates increasing, bank interest rates increasing, and that less cash will be circulating through the economy.
That's about it for now, Harry POtter is pretty interesting along with playing Guild Wars with Brian. It's fun although i DO get a little touchy when people make mistakes...it just sucks when you're so close to the objective and one mistake kills everyone in the party, but i shouldn't have overreacted...that's it for now, stay safe all

A Giant Week

Hey all, this week was pretty eventful especially the two Giants games i went to =D. The Giants games were very fun but the loss against the Rockies was discouraging but then the Giants came back and so far have beaten the Rockies twice! The Giants might be able to sweep a team over .500 and might possibly contend for the NL West Pennant which could be an interesting race. On Wednesday i went to a Rockies and Giants match-up which was the disapointing one; however, the seats were awesome! Dad, Lisa, and I got 2nd row tickets courtesy of Lisa's company and accompanying us was none other than Chang Kim who was pitching..! Want some pics? here they are.

Here's the Chen crew...i wonder what's up with my eye cause it seems to be twitching for some reason...maybe at the repulsiveness of the photographer of the picture =D. jk

There's Chang getting ready to pitch! what's amazing is that he looks lifesize since the seats were so close...the whole game was awesome stuff!

These two unknown guys are contending for which one is gonna piss me off the most during the entire game. Those two and the girls sitting behind them would not stop arguing about ridiculous things. I honestly frankly don't give a caboose's wasted engine fluid about how repulsive the beer must taste or how you're both being hypocrits or what the definition of class is...i know it's a baseball game but please shut the fuck up sometimes okay champ? dumb frat guys...BTW the one on the bottom corner is the one that doesn't shut up and the one to his right is the tool who's a suck-up being dominated by the drunkard

Okay now on Friday i went to the Giants game against the Astros. First the Astros are actually above .500 enough said so i expected this to be a loss but thankfully Dan and I took Brian and Brian's luck gave just what the Giants needed to win against the Astros!

Okay here's me in a close-up that Dan took...okay moving on!

Here's Brian showing his enthusiasm for the Giants! The look and the blatant advertising of the Giants on that cup and how he proudly presents it just means we got a new Giants fanatic in the works!

It was a great week and summer school ended! So i'll be lazy at home chilling and playing Guild Wars maybe and possibly volunteering at the animal shelter...we shall see...in the meantime, keep on checking cause i'll keep on updating =D

Back from Yosemite

Hey all, i got back from a weekend trip with some relatives from Yosemite yesterday (Sunday). All in all it was a good trip, had its ups and downs and it definently went left and right while my dad was driving the mini-van (my neck still hurts going side to side). I'll let the images tell the story really so here they are!

Hey folks, when you see a sign like the one above near spikes like the ones shown above, u get a combination of a warning sign and spikes and those combined with tires going the WRONG WAY is not a good thing, in fact u can bet your tires are gonna get punctured and go flat...and surprisingly enough my dad drove over those spikes the wrong way without seeing them and indeed popped a tire...we were fortunate enough to get it replaced. My dad and i actually tried to replace the tire by using the standard jack but when the jack was at its peak the car rolled off the jack and broke it! Thank God there was someone else to help us and we got the tire replaced and even got replacement tires before the day had ended...we were lucky...VERY lucky.

So we all arrived on Friday and this is now Saturday. We decided to tour the Yosemite Valley which was gorgeous but fricken HOT . I couldn't get through half an hour with my hands starting to dry up and it wasn't comfortable at all. But here is the whole vacationing trip (minus me cause i was taking the picture!)

I was getting a little tired so i decided to let my mom piggy back me! It was a pretty short lived trip but it was fun =P

Although these two were a handful, my two cousins Winny and Fred were full of life and energy...something i lacked the entire trip so to make up for my lethargic behavior over the weekend, here is a tribute to two of my younger cousins =D

After the tour of Yosemite Valley the whole family (except my mom) decided to go swimming at the nearby lake. The water was great temperature...very warm and relaxing. Here's the whole Taiwan Krew at the beach and catching some rays =D.

Here in the water is my uncle and my cousins enjoying the water and the sun after a hot day and to the left is me!

The trip was fun and i was sad when my relatives all left to go back to Taiwan. I think it's ridiculous how much the little boys and girls across the Pacific Ocean have to endure when it comes to academics. Not only do they have to wake up sooner than most middle and high school students, but almost all college students and adults! My cousins start class at 7:30 in the freaking morning and on top of the homework they get, they have to go get some tutoring and it's basically required! They have some work to do and the stress it's almost ridiculous and despite the fact i can't do anything about it i can still complain about it...in fact you might want to check out my rants section *hint hint* Anywayz, the trip was fun but i'm glad to be back and ready to go out with the friends and speak English =D
